One of the key figures who played an essential role in these activities, the late Chaudhry Muhammad Altaf, former President of PML-N United Arab Emirates, is remembered with great respect and admiration. Tribute to Chaudhry Muhammad Altaf
The late Chaudhry Muhammad Altaf (1944 to 2021), who served as the President of PML-N United Arab Emirates, left an indelible mark on the overseas activities of the party. His unwavering commitment to the PML-N and its leader, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, was nothing short of remarkable. Chaudhry Altaf played a pivotal role in various initiatives, from the construction of the Pakistan Muslim League House in Lahore to providing support to flood and earthquake-affected areas in Pakistan.
Despite his advanced age, he continued to actively engage in the organisation of the PML-N, making sure that members of the National Assembly, ministers, and advisers from Pakistan received warm hospitality when visiting the UAE. Chaudhry Muhammad Altaf was also instrumental in resolving the issues faced by the Pakistani community in the UAE. He also served as an official of the Pakistan Business Council, contributing to the resolution of issues affecting the Pakistani community.
Chaudhry Muhammad Altaf’s unwavering support for Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif during General Pervez Musharraf’s authoritarian era highlighted his steadfast commitment to the PML-N’s principles. His generosity and willingness to assist those in need endeared him to countless members of the party. Chaudhry Altaf’s untimely passing left a void that will be challenging to fill, but his legacy lives on through his three sons and two daughters.
His sons Chaudhry Faisal Altaf, Chaudhry Muhammad Umar and Chaudhry Abdul Rehman are now taking forward his mission to serve their community and promote PML-N in UAE.
PML-N Hong Kong Celebrations
PML-N President Mian Shahbaz Sharif conveyed his greetings and congratulations to China on its 74th Independence Day. Likewise, the PML-N Kowloon Hong Kong chapter organised a special celebration. The occasion saw members of the party coming together to commemorate China’s Independence Day, which was marked by the cutting of a cake in PML-N Hong Kong President Imran Khan’s office. This gesture reflects the PML-N’s commitment to acknowledging and fostering strong relationships with China.
PML-N Saudi Arabia’s Diplomatic Ties
The PML-N Saudi Arabia chapter actively works to strengthen the fraternal relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. The celebration of Saudi National Day in various cities of Saudi Arabia demonstrates their commitment to promoting Pakistan’s interests and maintaining strong ties with the host country.
In Jeddah, on the occasion of the 93rd Saudi National Day, Ms Saira Shams, social media head of PML-N Saudi Arabia, organised a memorable event. Prominent PML-N leaders and members, including Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Gujjar and Chaudhry Ehsan Elahi Gujjar, participated in the event, which included a cake-cutting ceremony.
Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, witnessed grand celebrations of the Saudi National Day by PML-N leaders and members. PML-N Media Advisor Ahsan sahib, senior leader Adnan Iqbal Butt, Mirza Munir Baig, Trade Wing Leader Mirza Ahmed Baig and other key figures joined in the festivities.
In Abha, Saudi Arabia, the PML-N Abha Region chapter organised a beautiful event to celebrate the Saudi National Day at the dera of Raja Fawad Sahib. Mr Mohammad Sarfaraz, the delegate of the Pakistan Consulate, officials and colleagues attended the event.
